Prof. (Dr.) Shailja Dixit is an Entrepreneurship Management Professor, distinguished researcher, and academic leader with over twenty-five years of substantive experience in higher education, academic governance, doctoral supervision, curriculum reform, and entrepreneurship ecosystem development. She holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA (Marketing) with top academic honours, and a B.Sc. from the University of Lucknow. A prolific and accomplished scholar, Prof. Dixit has to her credit more than 100 research publications in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals of high academic standing. Her research is marked by conceptual depth, methodological rigor, and policy relevance, contributing significantly to the domains of Entrepreneurship Development, Innovation and Incubation Systems, Women Entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility, Consumer Behaviour, Sustainable Development, and Skill and Vocational Education. She has authored and edited several scholarly volumes with leading international publishers, thereby enriching contemporary management scholarship and applied research discourse. Prof. Dixit has successfully guided doctoral scholars and nurtured research talent across interdisciplinary areas, strengthening research culture and academic capacity building. She has undertaken and completed national-level research projects addressing critical socio-economic concerns, particularly in women’s health and hygiene management, inclusive enterprise development, and sustainable institutional practices. Her work reflects a sustained engagement with socially responsive and development-oriented scholarship. In her academic leadership roles, including heading an Innovation and Incubation Centre, she established structured mentoring systems, facilitated industry–academia collaborations, operationalized start-up incubation frameworks, and designed large-scale capacity-building programmes. Under her leadership, the Centre emerged as a vibrant platform fostering innovation, enterprise creation, and stakeholder convergence. At PSSCIVE, Prof. Dixit contributes to strengthening Entrepreneurship Management within vocational and skill-based education frameworks, aligning research, curriculum development, and training initiatives with the National Education Policy, national skill priorities, and sustainable development imperatives.
